Our February meeting was Master Gardener Cindy Brueks teaching us about drought tolerant plants and firesafe landscapes. All of Scripps Ranch is now declared a fire zone which is impacting insurance rates and influencing landscape designs. We saw some sobering videos about how quickly fire can spread along wooden fences to house structures.
